Atreus (Loki), as half-God, has the divine power to shapeshift and thus can turn into a bear in God of War: Ragnarok. In Norse mythology, Loki is known to be a trickster god who can shapeshift into any creature. Since the reveal that Atreus is the Norse god Loki, people predicted that he would also show similar powers as Loki in Norse mythologies.
God of War: Ragnarok's Valhalla DLC has its own story and an interesting ending. While God of War: Ragnarok saw Atreus find himself and come to an understanding of who he is, Kratos has mostly been stuck in the past. With this new chapter added to the game, we get to see Kratos on his own, tackling his inner self.
